Overview
Sunriver Resort is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Executive Housekeeper to support our housekeeping operations and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role plays a key part in leading and motivating our team, maintaining efficiency, and upholding the resort’s commitment to exceptional hospitality. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the entire Lodge Village and River Lodge housekeeping areas. This requires a solid understanding of our cleanliness standards and financial goals. These responsibilities may also include staff training, development and scheduling. They will promote an atmosphere that insures customer and associate satisfaction as well as maintain the AAA Four Diamond standards. This position reports directly to the Executive Housekeeper and requires a strong eye for room cleanliness detail. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will have the ability to effectively communicate with team members, other departments and our guests. They will ensure service quality, staff efficiency, safety standards and financial productivity.

Responsibilities

- Will assist administrator with payroll, scheduling and ordering supplies as needed
- Directly responsible for holding the staff accountable when room cleanliness and inspections of rooms are not up to the Sunriver Resort standards
- Willing and able to assist in cleaning rooms or taking on special projects based on business levels and operational needs
- Manages and coordinates the daily duties of the Core Housekeeping department
- Performs ongoing quality inspections of units and takes corrective action as needed to address quality deficiencies
- Partners with our private owners to ensure our privately owned rooms are being maintained properly
- Maintains an awareness of all safety and emergency procedures and his/her role in assisting during critical times
- Ensures all housekeeping equipment is in proper working order
- Operates department pursuant of OSHA requirements and guidelines
- Instills a calm, organized approach in all stressful situations
- Reviews guests feedback through Revinate and communicates information to team to ensure continual guest satisfaction
- Maintains a strong knowledge of hospitality trends
- Attends appropriate resort, division and department meetings
- Maintains a strong morale and spirit throughout Core Housekeeping
- Resolves guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness
- Communicates pertinent information to team, i.e. in-house VIPs, changes in policies and procedures, resort events, etc.
- Completes appropriate MOD reports
- Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events
- Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
- Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons)
- Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment.
- Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Sunriver Resort dress code standards.
- Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A two or four year degree from accredited college or university preferred
- At least three years housekeeping experience required
- At least one year in similar position preferred
- Prior Four or Five diamond experience preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company driving standards
- Must have strong computer skills
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
- Previous experience with SMS and Rex Hot SOS is desirable
- Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking;
- Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push & pull up to 50 lbs with assistance;
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally.
- Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis;
- While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat);
- Must be able to climb stairs occasionally, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat).
