The Superior Court of Fulton County Georgia (“Court”) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Director, Court Systems and Data Analytics. This role involves supporting the Court's data management and strategic planning capabilities to drive the development of evidence-based practices. Responsibilities include analyzing and monitoring proposed legislation and similar statutory changes to identify opportunities for maximizing the capabilities and processes of the electronic case management system. Job Summary:
The Deputy Director of Court Systems and Data Analytics is a key leadership role responsible for enhancing court operations through strategic use of data and technology. This position requires experience in trial court administration or a similar data-driven environment, with a focus on data analysis, case management systems, and operational efficiency. The Deputy Director will lead initiatives to optimize case management workflows, advance court technology systems, and foster interdepartmental collaboration to drive improvements in overall court performance.

Directs the optimization and continuous improvement of case processing procedures, ensuring alignment with court policies, regulations, and best practices in court performance standards by leveraging data analytics.
Provide advanced expertise in court databases and case management systems, particularly Tyler's Odyssey,
Leads the development of advanced queries and data extraction to support decision-making, while ensuring the court’s systems are optimized and future-proofed through upgrades and technology transitions.
Build and maintain effective relationships with judges, clerks, attorneys, and external stakeholders. Present data findings, reports, and recommendations to judges, senior leadership, and other relevant stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.
Design and deliver training programs for court staff on new systems, data reporting tools, and best practices for case management. Continuously assess training needs to ensure the workforce is equipped with the skills required to meet court objectives.
Lead or participate in court-related projects, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful implementation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project risks and adjust strategies as needed.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requires Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with court databases and case management systems, particularly Tyler's Odyssey, including the development of advanced queries. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, with the ability to generate meaningful insights from complex data sets. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Experience in developing and delivering training programs for court staff or similar audiences. Solid project management skills, with the ability to lead initiatives from inception through completion. Experience in public sector administration or government operations. Familiarity with legal terminology and court operations.
Requires skill in implementing complex computer systems. Leveraging technology to simplify and improve complex processes. Conducting system audits and usability testing. Engaging the user community to gather feedback and generate enthusiasm and support for technology initiatives. Understanding, using, and explaining Court-specific computer applications to manage court processes, gather and analyze statistics, and create reports. Evaluating software. Writing bid specifications and RFPs. Preparing reports and maintaining accurate records. Using spreadsheet, database, word processing, presentation, and other software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree required; and five (5) or more years of experience in trial court administration or related field with demonstrated expertise in data analysis and evaluation, and three or more years of experience supervising the work of subordinate employees; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five or more years' experience in trial court administration or related field with demonstrated expertise in court data analysis and evaluation.
- Established knowledge of court databases and case management systems, including Tyler's Odyssey, with the ability to develop advanced queries.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Experience developing and delivering effective training programs
- Project management experience
Licensing Requirements:
May require a valid Georgia driver’s license.
Physical Requirements:
Work is typically performed in an office-like environment. May work in high conflict situations and with difficult, sometimes dangerous parties. Positions in this class are typically required sitting, mobility, lifting, carrying, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, grasping, pushing/pulling, talking, hearing, seeing. Restrain a resident using non-violent crisis intervention.
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and /or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
