Switchboard, a hiring agency, is working on behalf of our client, a stable, privately-held organization with a long history of success, to find an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join their team.
About the Role
Take the lead in shaping the future of accounts payable! This brand-new role as the Accounts Payable Supervisor offers a rare opportunity to build and evolve the accounts payable function within a growing shared services environment. You’ll drive process improvements, foster a collaborative team culture, and help implement innovative technologies to modernize workflows.
In this role, you will:
Lead a team of 15, overseeing accounts payable operations across multiple entities while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to internal controls.
Champion automation initiatives and streamline processes to reduce manual workloads and enhance productivity.
Act as a change leader, guiding the team through transitions and fostering alignment with modernization efforts.
Analyze workflows and recommend improvements through process mapping and data-driven strategies.
Mentor and develop your team, identifying training opportunities to build a high-performing and cohesive group.
What We’re Looking For
We want to hear from you if you bring:
Proven expertise in accounts payable (AP) within a shared services environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle or similar tools; experience with automation solutions like Esker is a plus.
Demonstrated success in managing team transitions during technology implementations while driving change and process improvement initiatives.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with a collaborative approach to cross-departmental teamwork.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field (relevant certifications in AP management or process improvement are a bonus!).
