What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Office Receptionist / Business Office Coordinator position at Symmetry Physical Therapy?

Are you outgoing, personable, and seeking an opportunity to join a cohesive medical office team? Symmetry Physical Therapy is seeking an energetic candidate with strong organizational skills and capable of providing excellent customer service to all of our patients. We are willing to train a candidate with enthusiasm and aptitude.

Job Duties:

  • Greeting patients professionally in person and through electronic communication.
  • Provide customer service functions including responding to patient questions, providing explanation of fees and services, and properly referring inquiries as needed.
  • Manage phone calls and other incoming communication via email and fax.
  • Appointment scheduling and collections of patient payments.
  • Carry out intake procedures with new clients. Set up and/or update patient information in clinic Electronic Medical Records system.
  • Verification of insurance eligibility and benefits information.
  • Maintain patient charts with correspondence from other medical providers and/or insurance payers.
  • Assist Office Manager and/or Physical Therapists with business management tasks.
  • Available for 8-hour shifts during weekday business hours ranging between 7 am and 6 pm. No weekend hours.

Qualifications:

  • High-quality verbal and written communication skills.
  • Efficient organization and time management skills. Comfortable with multitasking. Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with administrative and medical staff members. Also able to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments.
  • High-school diploma or equivalency and associated aptitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
