Summary:
We are seeking a talented and highly experienced Director of Flexitech Operations at T2S, you will be responsible for managing Flexitech Business Operations, identifying, designing, and prototyping new (RF) product offerings, and executing business growth strategies in support of corporate objectives. You will work on a range of exciting products, from cutting-edge avionics and communications systems to include advanced spacecraft technologies for Earth orbit and lunar applications as well as advanced products for terrestrial applications. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering design and development principles, excellent problem-solving skills, business operations, and a passion for innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage RF and avionics product development, manufacturing, and business operations.
- Report to T2S senior leadership regarding all Flexitech business matters including product development and manufacturing, product marketing and sales, and execution of growth strategies consistent with corporate objectives.
- Serve as the key Flexitech management representative to T2S corporate functions including finance, contracts, accounting, facilities, business development, human resources, purchasing, operations, legal, and security.
- Develop and implement business growth strategies consistent with corporate growth objectives, support product marketing and sales strategy development and execution. The implementation of business growth strategies includes hiring staff, evaluating and implementing facility growth needs, capital equipment needs, and implementing manufacturing best practices to integrate with corporate business systems.
- Manage a team of engineers and technicians responsible for product development, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and final delivery to the customer.
- Oversee and advise the technical team regarding the design and development of RF products and avionics solutions for space systems and terrestrial applications.
- Support and manage the use of engineering simulation tools to model and predict the performance of products including the conduct of simulations to validate design parameters, optimize performance, and identify technical issues during development.
- Identify new product offering and and manage new product prototyping, including building and testing new products. Ensure comprehensive testing is conducted to verify that prototypes meet criteria.
- Continuously analyze and optimize products to enhance performance, efficiency, and reliability. This includes fine-tuning designs, conducting performance evaluations, and making iterative improvements based on testing results and customer feedback.
- Remain current with the latest advancements in industry RF and avionics technologies and industry trends. Identify and contribute to internal research and development efforts to explore new technologies, techniques, and methodologies that can be applied to our products.
- Manage and contribute to the preparation and maintenance of product technical documentation. Communicate findings and progress to internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency throughout the product lifecycle.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that product designs, systems, and manufacturing adhere to relevant regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Active DoD Security Clearance is a plus
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- >15 years of engineering experience
