We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to support our procurement team in managing and executing various procurement projects. This role will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships, as well as ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in procurement, contract negotiations, and vendor management, with experience in the pharma Biotech industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the purchase order (PO) process, including PO creation, approval workflows, and vendor coordination to ensure accurate and timely processing
- Lead/support/manage procurement projects across multiple categories, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project requirements and procurement strategies
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
- Prepare and analyze procurement reports, cost-benefit analyses, and supplier performance metrics
- Support RFP (Request for Proposal) processes, including drafting, evaluation, and vendor selection.
- Assist in developing and improving procurement policies, processes, and systems.
- Manage the vendor onboarding process through to completion, working closely with Suppliers, Legal, Accounts Payable, and Risk teams.
- Cross-department collaboration to ensure seamless communication and execution of vendor agreements via DocuSign
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, legal considerations, and industry standards
- Experience with procurement tools and ERP systems.
- Strong ability to collect, manage, and analyze procurement data to drive insights, optimize supplier performance, and support strategic decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Industry-specific experience in the Pharma/Biotech industry.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in global procurement and understanding of international trade regulations.
