Plant Controller
Our client is the premier international provider of a variety of medical device products. They are looking for a Plant Controller to support their WI Operations. The position will be responsible for multiple work sites with annual revenue of approximately $75 million. The US Plant Controller will be expected to support the operations under their control with excellent transactional efficiency while maintaining a high standard of accounting accuracy and providing operational analysis to the executive team.
- Manage P&L accounting at the sites consistent with US GAAP. Not a technical role, but expected to have a high level of understanding of accounting
- Actively manage the administrative team at a variety of sites suggesting and implementing efficiency improvements
- Manage the development of the annual budget for their sites and forecasts as necessary
- Provide financial analysis of site operations explaining the results and reporting on an ad hoc and regular basis to the executive team
- Develop a hands-on understanding of our accounting system (Sage) and other relevant systems
- Work to assure a timely and accurate monthly close in collaboration with the corporate accounting team and provide assistance with the annual audit as needed
- Ensure that company policies and practices around key workstreams like procure to pay, capital expenditures and maintenance are followed and managed properly
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years post-graduation finance generalist related work experience in a manufacturing environment and strong cost accounting knowledge
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively overcome objections and communicate with people at all levels
- Expert user of Microsoft Excel including ability to work with large sets of data
- In-depth knowledge and demonstrated ability to use automated accounting systems
- Frequent travel to several locations is required - Mostly locally
- Ability to approach problems from different perspectives in order to suggest and implement solutions
