Job Title: HR Generalist
Reports to: Controller
Department: Human Resources
Status: Salary-Exempt
Job Summary: Supporting Tenet in implementing HR processes and services to ensure an effective and efficient operation. This role establishes partnerships with functional leaders to understand their needs and provide HR solutions and expertise.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: To include, but not limited to the following:
· Talent Acquisition: Execute the full cycle talent acquisition process for recruiting and selection process for all team members. Assist with succession planning and retention strategies.
· Performance Conversations: Work with leaders on performance conversations, documentation, and discipline procedures. Manage the annual performance review/conversation processes and facilitate professional development programs.
· Team Onboarding and Relationship Management: Conduct new team member orientation and assist with onboarding new team members. Manage team member relations and act as a point of contact for issues, providing guidance to both leaders and individuals. Act as thought partner for people leaders and team members regarding all human resources related matters.
· Investigations and Checks: Conduct investigations and complete investigation reports. Process background checks and reference checks as needed.
· Personnel Records: Responsible for maintaining all personnel records and adhering to the record retention cycle.
· HR Policies and Compliance: Maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Process ADA request, FMLA and other leave requests and ensure compliance with employment laws and other regulations.
· Job Descriptions and Compensation: Assist leaders with completing job descriptions. Assist with setting compensation ranges for positions.
· HR Transactions: Complete routine HR transactions, including new hire processing, terminations, and benefit administration.
· Learning and Development: Promote the importance of continuous learning to encourage the engagement and retention of team members.
· Benefit Program: Serve as a liaison for the team member benefits programs. Manage unemployment claims.
· Work Environment and Culture: Promote a positive work environment through various engagement, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
· HR Projects and Reporting: Complete reporting requirements and data analysis. Maintains the organization chart. Complete all HR projects without much oversight.
· Other Duties: Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience (5 years) as an HR Generalist or HR Specialist.
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Demonstrated experience in talent management, relations, and organizational development.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and other HR tools.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) are desirable.

Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in a plant environment. PPE required when in the plant, yard, or construction areas include:
