Position Summary:
Terrapin Restaurant is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and bookkeeping experience, along with the flexibility to support various members of our team, including the Executive Chef/Owner, VP of Marketing and Events, and Bookkeeper. Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service:
- Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable point of contact for inquiries, complaints, and general correspondence.
- Ensure prompt, professional responses to guest questions via phone, email, or in-person interactions.
- Bookkeeping Support:
- Assist the bookkeeper with data entry, invoice processing, HR duties, and reconciling financial records.
- Track expenses, manage petty cash, and maintain accurate financial documentation.
- Marketing Support:
- Collaborate with the VP of Marketing and Events to create and schedule social media content.
- Help organize and execute special events and promotions.
- Operational Assistance:
- Support the management team with ordering and inventory tracking.
- Help ensure the office is organized, well-stocked, and equipped for daily operations.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in customer service and bookkeeping, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram) and basic content creation tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and a knack for keeping things running smoothly.
