The Graphic Designer II, under general supervision, coordinates and designs print, digital, and multimedia content in support of the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. This person performs complex graphics design and consultation work, requiring creativity, organizational skills, and a customer-service mentality.

Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

Persons in this position are considered essential when the University declares an emergency, campus closure, class cancellations, etc., and are therefore required to report to work and remain on duty unless/until relieved by the direct supervisor. May require working alternate shifts, holidays, weekends, or on-call duty. Provides quality customer service to internal and external customers/clients.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphics Design, Fine Arts or related field.
- Two years of related experience in graphics design, web development, print and electronic media, marketing or related design field.
- Written and verbal skills.
- Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with professional clients.
- Ability to meet deadlines and able to self-direct execution of assignments.
- Ability to work independently and with teams.
- Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Four years of experience in graphic design, web development, print and electronic media, marketing or related design field.
- Experience using a Macintosh computer for electronic/digital imaging.
- Experience working in the Adobe suite of design software including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, and After Effects.
- Project Coordination: Produces—through design, drawing, and/or editing—complex graphics and motion graphics for various print projects, publications, digital media, multimedia, marketing, and research deliverables, including custom designs for logos, invitations, signs, newsletters, presentations, and magazines; conference materials such as posters or marketing banners; displays; and other printed and digital material as needed, utilizing various Adobe design programs including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects.
- Customer Service: Collaborates with customers, as needed, from concept to creation to provide a high level of customer support in the area of design and project marketing. Helps professional clients create graphics or edit photographs to illustrate concepts in their reports or publications. Manages documentation for each project, including approvals, comments, drafts, and artwork. Works closely with various printers to ensure timeliness, quality, and customer satisfaction with final product, including art proof checks, go to press checks, and any other function necessary, to ensure all project criteria are met in a superior manner.
- Brand Ambassador: Ensures all materials adhere to brand guidelines outlined by Texas A&M University and the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. Works with vendors to review materials sent to Texas A&M Licensing for approval. Presents branding and design concepts to clients and partners. Performs other duties as assigned.
