Position Overview:
As the first point of contact for our agency, the Receptionist/Office Assistant plays a key role in creating a warm, welcoming environment while providing high-level administrative support to our Chief Executive Officer. The ideal candidate is a multitasker, has strong attention to detail, the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, and excellent communication skills with emphasis on listening, tact, diplomacy and patience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet and welcome visitors, clients, and staff with professionalism
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and inquiries
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- Maintain a tidy and organized front desk and reception area
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to Chief Executive Officer
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings
- Prepare meeting agendas, reports, and presentation materials
- Handle confidential information with the utmost integrity
- Assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a receptionist and administrative support role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Professional demeanor and customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
- Supportive, team-oriented work environment
- Requires dependability, knowledge of copy/fax/printer/postage machines
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age
- High-school diploma or GED
- Must be able to successfully pass required background checks
Compensation: $21.50-$23.65. DOE starting range, entire scale to $27.95 per hour, Non-exempt, Full-time 40 hours per week, Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, 13 Paid Holidays, Vacation, Sick, Personal Leave
- All pay is based on longevity at The Arc of Spokane; thus, the starting pay for this position is $21.50 per hour.
