Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providing compassionate assistance and guidance with inquiries, scheduling appointments, and addressing concerns.
- Maintain clear and effective communication channels between patients, audiologists, and administrative staff.
- Schedule appointments for initial consultations, hearing tests, fittings, and follow-up visits with accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate appointment reminders and ensure timely follow-ups to minimize scheduling conflicts and missed appointments.
- Educate patients about hearing aid options, including features, benefits, and pricing, while providing empathetic support throughout decision-making.
- Address patient concerns and questions regarding insurance coverage, financing options, and warranties professionally and professionally.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process necessary paperwork related to appointments, billing, and insurance claims with attention to detail and efficiency.
- Process payment transactions and maintain accurate accounts.
- Assist audiologists in explaining pricing and payment options and facilitating a seamless purchasing experience.
- Track hearing aid orders and inventory and verify insurance information from the billing department.
- Cultivate relationships with healthcare providers, senior centers, and other community organizations to expand our patient base and enhance brand visibility.
- Temporary position may have the potential into a full-time permanent role.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling, record-keeping, and communication.
- Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of patients with hearing loss.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting or a related field preferred.
