Responsibilities

- Assist clients in understanding their rights and options within the legal system.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, social services, and other community resources to ensure comprehensive support for victims.
- Conduct assessments to identify the needs of victims and develop appropriate action plans.
- Facilitate access to counseling services, legal assistance, and other necessary resources.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions with clients and document case progress.
- Participate in training sessions to stay informed about best practices in victim advocacy and crisis management.
- Engage in conflict management strategies to resolve issues that may arise during the advocacy process.
Experience
- A background in social work or related fields is preferred, with experience in child welfare or childcare being highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with child protective services and family law is essential for effective advocacy.
- Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention and behavioral health support are important for addressing the needs of victims.
