Job Summary:
The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all guests’ needs are met before, during and after their stay. Supervise and assist Front desk agents in making reservations, checking guests in and out, cash and credit card transactions, and other duties as assigned by the AGM. The Front Desk Supervisor reports directly to the AGM.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of hotel front-desk supervisory experience (preferred) or supervisory experience in a similar field.
- Experience handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks.
- Must be able to stand for several hours on end.
Responsibilities
- Represent the Chrysalis Inn and Spa’s mission statement.
- Create bi-monthly schedule, ensuring budget and guest service requirements are met.
- Assist AGM in training of Front Desk staff.
- Manage front desk staff during shift to ensure guest satisfaction and staff productivity.
- Maintain working relationships and communication with other departments.
- Verify that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated with housekeeping staff.
- Resolve guest problems in a calm, courteous and efficient manner.
- Assist AGM in maintaining uniform standards.
- Maintain awareness of SALT Surveys.
- Assist in other duties assigned by GM
- Help cover vacations and day off requests including night audit position as needed.
