Job Description
BYU-Pathway Worldwide is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support institutional HR needs and contribute to various departmental projects. This part-time role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about human resources, people management, and creating organizational impact.
The HR Assistant will work closely with the HR Generalist to manage recruiting and onboarding efforts while taking initiative on administrative and project coordination tasks. The successful candidate will be proactive, organized, and confident in presenting ideas and collaborating with others.
While the position is temporary, lasting one semester, the intent is to provide opportunities for growth and development within the role. Exceptional performance may lead to continued employment or a transition into a full-time internship.
Additional Details
This position is based at the Triad Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, with flexible scheduling during core business hours (Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm). Employees may work up to 20 hours per week. Remote work for those living outside of a reasonable commuting distance may be available for the right candidate.

Meet the Hiring Manager
Responsibilities
The HR Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of the HR Department by:
- Managing the recruitment and onboarding process for student employees and interns.
- Facilitating new hire orientation for student employees and interns.
- Assisting in the development and refinement of HR processes, policies, and systems.
- Conducting Student Employment Enrollment Verification each semester under the HR Generalist's guidance.
- Maintaining HRIS records (AtWork and Workday) and tracking essential employee information.
- Supporting workforce planning by aligning HR solutions with organizational priorities.
- Assisting with compliance by staying informed about employment laws and regulations, auditing I-9 forms, and ensuring adherence to policies.
Education
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Current enrollment as a CES Student (BYU-Pathway Worldwide, Ensign College, BYU, BYU-Idaho, BYU-Hawaii). Note: Students on an F-1 or J-1 visa must be enrolled at Ensign College.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- An interest in HR, recruiting, or people management is highly desirable; prior HR-related experience is a plus but not required.
