Controller
The David Round Company is seeking a hands-on Controller. This role is critical to maintaining our financial integrity, supporting HR functions, and ensuring smooth operational processes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Process payroll through a payroll service provider.
- Ensure that internal controls, company policies, and procedures are up to date and adhered to.
- Update and distribute daily financial and operational reports to management.
- Assist other departments with reporting needs as required.
- Manage cash flows, including projections and daily reporting of cash balances.
- Facilitate external reviews and audits with CPA firms and government agencies as needed.
- Work with insurance providers to maintain adequate coverage to protect the company.
- Manage HR functions, including but not limited to benefits administration and onboarding of new hires.
- Maintain and manage relationships with banking institutions.
- Oversee the company’s IT needs to ensure operational efficiency.
- Perform other responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
- Accounting degree preferred.
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and skilled in solving complex problems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel.
- At least 5 years of experience as a controller in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with GAAP and its application in financial reporting.
