We are seeking a skilled Mixology Specialist/ Server to join our team at The Falls Bistro in International Falls to serve both our local and hotel guests. We are looking for someone who is able and interested in creating memorable experiences for their guests. As a Bartender/Server, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages and food while maintaining a clean and organized front of the house.
You’ll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers’ experiences. As a part of the team you will ensure tables and or bar is clean and tidy when guests arrive. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare restaurant tables/bar area with special attention to sanitation and order
- Welcome and attend to customers upon arrival
- Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
- Prepare and serve drink orders
- Take and serve food orders
- Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
- Issue bills with accuracy and accept payment
- Work as a team with other staff to ensure all side and other job related duties are complete.
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
- Proven bartending waitering experience
- Hands-on experience in cashier duties and cash control or the ability and willingness to learn
- Attention to cleanliness and safety
- Ability to learn the restaurant's operating system
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
