Barista/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team! As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to provide excellent customer service and efficiently handle cash transactions will be essential in ensuring a positive experience for our guests.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Operate the cash register and manage cash handling with accuracy.
• Assist customers with menu selections, providing recommendations based on their preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and workstations.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a friendly and professional manner.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
• Utilize Square POS system for order processing and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred, particularly in a café or food service environment.
• Strong cash handling skills with an understanding of retail math.
• Familiarity with food safety practices is a plus.
• Ability to operate POS systems, specifically Square POS, is desirable but not mandatory as training will be provided.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for coffee and beverage preparation is highly valued.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.35 - $25.00 per hour
