We are seeking a part-time Risk and Patient Safety Specialist to join the Risk Management team by supporting the organizational strategic goals and objectives related to clinical risk management and patient safety. You will work with clinical, operational, and technology teams who value their team and working together to help our patients get the best possible care
The Risk and Patient Safety Specialist will be responsible for implementing and administering the adverse event reporting system, provide education and training of this system to staff and providers, collaborate with department managers, safety members, and risk management team to review patient safety reports, co-facilitate the Safety Committee and much more. This position will require to a second location periodically. Hybrid/Remote work available once training and expectations are met.
Workdays will be Monday-Friday (Five days a week, 4 hours a day, within the work hours 8:00 am-5:00pm (can be flexible)).
Starting pay range, based on experience: $44.97-$60.77 per hour.
Medical, Vision, and Rx Insurance is 50% paid for by The Oregon Clinic for full-time employees.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years' experience in a healthcare organization or healthcare-related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Organizational Development, Healthcare Administration, Business or another related field is required.
- Knowledge of clinical operations in ambulatory care is preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented, have the ability to multitask, and possess great interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly to patients, staff, and physicians.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Knowledge of current state, federal, and local laws governing care delivery.
- Strong commitment to patient care and privacy guidelines.
