Job Title: Shipping Coordinator Department: Shipping
Reports to: Turf Distribution Manager
Job Summary: The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for the scheduling and coordinating of outbound and sometimes inbound logistics of RG.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work with Customer Service to coordinate shipping needs of the company
- Work closely with Warehouse Shipping Associates ensure that orders scheduled to ship are being prepared and staged for outbound shipping
- Make sure BOL’s are handled and turned in properly
- Maintain a tidy work environment to ensure order accuracy
- Schedule logistical services of the department
- Be familiar with products so they can recognize order issues
- Assist Customer Service in resolving any order issues
- Assist in any other way to make sure that the division functions as efficiently as possible
Responsible for additional duties and accountabilities that will be assigned as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Understanding of operational workflows
- Understanding of company software to be able to schedule shipments
- Understanding of logistics pricing, scheduling, and potential threats
- Understanding of products to be able to recognize incorrect product
specifications
- Ability to follow directions to work on projects outside of daily tasks
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in a shipping or logistical role
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to lift 15 pounds
