What You’ll Do
Materials Planning and Inventory Management:
- Develop and refine forecasting processes to lead materials planning across multiple sites.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and delivery timelines while avoiding shortages or excess.
- Ensure accuracy in the perpetual inventory system through regular monitoring and updates.
- Work closely with purchasing to schedule timely delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Collaborate with production, finance, and quality control teams to meet material requirements and address challenges.
- Optimize intercompany transfers to reduce costs and enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Analyze market conditions, including cost, availability, and quality, to inform material planning.
- Contribute to the S&OP process by identifying material and inventory needs to support operational plans.
- Establish and review inventory levels in the ERP system to enable effective Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Provide strategic guidance to material coordinators across the region, aligning corporate inventory strategies with site-specific needs.
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments for management review.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the supply chain team.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience in multi-site materials planning
- Experience with MRP and ERP systems, particularly EPICOR, including implementations, improvement initiatives, inventory control, materials requirements planning, demand planning, and supply chain analytics
- Strong background in planning, procurement, logistics, and integrated systems
- Strong leadership abilities, with an emphasis on relationship-building
- Proven ability to present complex concepts and data to diverse audiences effectively
- Exceptional analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
- Knowledge of S&OP best practices and value chain analytics
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with co-workers and stakeholders
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
