Director of Operations

Now seeking a Director of Operations to join our team at a leading provider of co-packing services specializing in blending and packaging dry food and beverage products.

This position is critical to ensuring efficient, high-quality production while driving operational excellence and growth. Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, including production, quality assurance, and supply chain management, to ensure seamless production and meet client demands
• Develop and implement strategies for maintaining rigorous quality standards across all production stages, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, FDA)
• Collaborate with internal teams to define material requirements, resolve quality issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Conduct root cause analysis for operational or quality challenges and lead the development of sustainable solutions
• Evaluate and implement process improvements to optimize production efficiency, minimize waste, and reduce costs
• Monitor production performance through KPIs, analyzing trends and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Utilize ERP systems, quality control tools, and other software to enhance operational efficiency and streamline reporting
• Lead cross-department initiatives to ensure alignment between production, R&D, sourcing, and quality assurance teams
• Manage vendor and supplier relationships, ensuring the timely delivery of materials that meet quality and cost expectations
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety, sustainability, and operational practices to align with company goals
• Ensure the organization remains audit-ready and compliant with all relevant standards and certifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 10 years of operations management experience, preferably in food and beverage co-packing or manufacturing environments
• Proven experience with ERP systems and quality control tools/software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or similar)
• Strong understanding of food safety and quality standards such as HACCP, FDA regulations, or ISO 9001
• Demonstrated success in vendor management, strategic sourcing, and cross-functional collaboration
• Expertise in analyzing production data and using metrics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop diverse teams
• Proficiency in financial oversight, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting
• Excellent problem-solving and project management abilities

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $130,000 - $185,000 negotiable based on experience
