JOB SUMMARY |
This is a highly complementary role to the Director of Human Services in defining and leveraging the department's directional strategy and goals. This role mobilizes the daily administrative and financial needs of the department, monitors progress of day-to-day operations & projects, aids in the preparation of annual regulatory reports, and provides technical assistance to grant awardees and contractors.

- Assist the Department Director with the daily administrative tasks, including budgeting, financial reporting, and following accounting procedures.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
- Maintain accurate electronic and hard-copy records
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, phone calls, and mail.
- Assist with financial tasks such as processing invoices, preparing purchase orders, maintaining expense records, and cash deposits.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring
- Interface with ancillary county departments to ensure accurate financial documentation and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Input and maintain data in various systems and databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Technical writing. Assist in preparing grant or contract proposals including the preparation of letters of intent; copy editing and formatting proposals; liaising with the department head for quotations formulating budgets and ensuring compliance with all funding agency requirements. Identifies and facilitates group collaboration on interdepartmental grant writing efforts.
- Grant Administration. Administer grant funding per requirements and obligations as set forth in the grant contract. Ensure proper accounting and reporting of all grant funding. Generate reports and assist in data evaluation for both inbound and outbound grant funding

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (or COMBINATION) |
- Associate degree with an emphasis in business, finance, public administration, or office management. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
AND
- Four to six (4-6) years of experience related to the above duties; general office practices; and progressive office management and administrative duties including bookkeeping, budgeting, technical writing, and strategic planning. An equivalent combination of education and experience.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS |
- Must possess a valid Utah driver's license with no DUI's/ARR's in the past five (5) years and no more than two (2) moving violations within the past 24 months.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), CPA, CMA, or related certifications preferred.
