About the Company
TooJay's Deli is seeking a dynamic, self-starting, team-oriented Catering Sales Manager in the South Florida market. This full-time position requires a go getter who can seek out new catering clients and continue to upsell current clients; ultimately growing the companies catering business. Proactive, creative sales strategies are a must, as is cultivating new relationships. The ultimate goal is to drive revenue and foster relationships with customers. This position would cover our South Region with locations from Dania Beach to Wellington.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive guest experience and provide quality service through detailed event planning and follow up.
- Partner with Meeting Planners, Local Community Groups, Major Corporations in the Area, Hotels, Destination Companies, Convention & Visitor Bureaus/Associations, and other relevant groups through outside sales strategies to generate banquet and catering sales.
- Daily prospecting calls to qualify accounts and opportunities and generate new leads and interest in the market consistently.
- Conduct Sales Presentations, meetings and host events – onsite and offsite with qualified clients on a weekly basis.
- Follow up on online leads and inquiry calls to secure high closing and conversion ratios.
- Implement promotions and programs with local groups based on your city’s trends (i.e. conventions, special events, local businesses, etc.) in order to solicit group bookings and/or increase foot traffic to the restaurant.
- Report to Senior Leadership on weekly activities and sales goals.
- Work closely with General Managers and Catering Team to measure local market impact and exposure versus related expenditures of current programs and promotions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in the Hospitality/Restaurant industry with management experience in catering and sales.
- Understanding of sales tactics and closing procedures.
- Associate degree (two-year college or technical school) preferred.
- Excellent written communication, verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel to restaurants around the state to generate sales
- Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
