What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Credit Analyst position at TOP Equipment?
A. PURPOSE OF JOB
The Commercial Credit Analyst is responsible for leading and optimizing the B2B credit process while ensuring accurate and timely processing of dealer business documents, managing collections, and maintaining customer relationships.
B. JOB DUTIES
- Assist with B2B credit application process; review for approval and determine credit limit/risk based on company guidelines.
- Assist with setting up new dealer credit accounts, ensuring guarantees are signed and proper UCC’s are filed with corresponding state of dealer.
- Assist with other projects related to A/R and Credit department.
- Assist with identifying trends and implementing strategies to decrease past due accounts.
- Assist with auditing and maintaining dealer credit files and credit limits.
- Assist Credit Manager with daily deposits; by check and ACH.
- Assist with calling on past due accounts.
- Review and release credits holds.
- Assist Credit Manager with reviewing and completing dealer billing discrepancies.
- Assist with reviewing accounts for termination, cancellations and dealer closings.
- Assist with composing monthly collection letters.
- Maintains positive relationship with dealers while ensuring adherence to payment terms.
- Assist with sorting and delivering daily mail.
- Assist Credit Manager with other duties as assigned.
C. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in credit analysis, commercial banking, or business banking preferred
- High School diploma.
- Power Equipment industry knowledge is a plus.
- Developed understanding of business credit applications and documentation requirements
- Properly filing a UCC is a plus
- Proficient Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (e.g., create new documents, edit existing files, create tables, sort/filter data, print documents, generate new records, email, and assist with statement mailings).
D. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- Analytical and math skills.
- Excellent internal and external customer service.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to successfully negotiate when necessary.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with IBM iSeries and MAC a plus
- Basic understanding of credit principles, accounts receivable processes, and collection strategies
E. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 25 pounds.

- There are no supervisory responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
