General Description
Provide support for the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager, ensuring that correct shipping and receiving procedures are followed at all times.

Starting $18/hour
Job Summary
*Verify that incoming material matches packing list or bill of lading and notify customer immediately of any discrepancies
*Verify that shipments are entered correctly, and that all paperwork is accurate prior to release
*Use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting on shipping and receiving activities
*Follow shipping practices and procedures and transportation schedules
*Prepare outgoing paperwork for shipment
*Verify quantity, weight and conformance of materials with customer requirements
*Process airway bills, freight bills, packing sheets and other customer specific documentation
*Verify picked orders, and pick orders when time permits as needed
*Engage in written and verbal communication with customers, supervisors and leadership on a frequent basis
*Work independently with moderate supervision.
*Work occasional after-hours or weekends relating to Customer production schedules
*Maintain confidentiality of Company and Customer information.
*Perform warehouse functions as requested by Supervisor or Management.
*Assist in site training program and development of new procedures as needed.

Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED preferred
At least 2 years of experience in a similar industry/environment preferred
Experienced in Microsoft Office programs preferred
Previous shipping, receiving and inventory control experience preferred
Forklift certified a plus
Close attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Problem-solving and independent decision-making
Ability to work efficiently and safely in an environment full of distractions and potentially unpredictable situations
