What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Toddler Teacher position at Totally Tots LLC / Totally Kids?
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
- Manage classroom behavior and promote positive discipline techniques
- Collaborate with parents to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Follow all licensing regulations and maintain necessary documentation
Skills:
- Strong behavior management skills to create a positive and structured learning environment
- Effective classroom management techniques to engage and motivate young children
- Experience in daycare or toddler care settings, providing quality care for infants and preschool-aged children
- Ability to educate and facilitate learning through age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Knowledge of first aid procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of children
- Understanding of special education principles to support children with diverse learning needs
- Previous experience in babysitting or preschool teaching is highly desirable
