What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Community Service Officer/Parking Enforcement (FT and PT) position at Town of Wareham?
The Town’s Human Resources Department, on behalf of the Department of Natural Resources, is accepting applications for the temporary, seasonal, part-time and full-time positions of Seasonal Community Service Officer/Parking Enforcement. These are non-benefited, temporary positions that will run from approximately May/June through September/October.
All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and possess the following:
Education/Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent and current Massachusetts Driver’s License required. CPR and first responder certificate desired. Applicants should have knowledge of local geography and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays. Subject to CORI/SORI, pre-employment physical, drug test and driver's license check.
Responsibilities: The job consists of but not limited to: maintenance and upkeep of the kiosk parking machines, enforcement of parking regulations, general upkeep and maintenance of public properties, some light office work, issuing permits and by-law enforcement. Activities require some moderate physical effort in the performance of the job and the ability to lift up to 60lbs and be able to work in all weather conditions. Potential candidates must have the ability to work with the public, problem solve and perform multiple tasks in a stressful environment.
