Senior Account Executive: Beauty

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated, media-savvy Senior Account Executive to join our dynamic beauty team. The ideal candidate is passionate about the beauty industry, has strong media relationships, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is perfect for someone who is ready to take ownership of key accounts, mentor junior team members, and contribute strategic thinking to PR campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day client communication and project management across several beauty accounts.
• Develop and execute strategic PR plans that include media relations, influencer outreach, events, and brand storytelling.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with beauty editors, writers, influencers, and industry professionals.
• Secure high-impact media placements in top-tier print, digital, and broadcast outlets.
• Craft compelling press materials including press releases, media alerts, pitches, and messaging documents.
• Support and/or lead the planning and execution of PR events, media appointments, and product launches.
• Monitor media coverage and create detailed client reports, recaps, and coverage reports.
• Manage junior staff, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship to support professional growth.
• Stay on top of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging talent to inform strategy.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of relevant PR experience, preferably in a beauty-focused agency or in-house setting.
• Proven success securing coverage in beauty, lifestyle, and consumer media outlets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Experience managing client relationships and mentoring junior team members.
• Deep passion for beauty and wellness trends.
• Proficiency in PR tools such as Cision, Muck Rack, and Meltwater is a plus.
