Purchasing Coordinator Job Description
- Create new home purchase orders and variance purchase orders for residential construction.
- Ensure all new home purchase orders occur in a timely manner, that bids are accurate, and that all necessary documents are properly completed to provide complete packages to the field and prevent variances.
- Create Job scrubs to ensure all Purchase Orders issued are correct.
- Responsible for managing Change Orders and late changes.
- Create Change Orders for our Design Selections in Brix Sales
- Save purchasing documents including redlines, change orders, dec sheets, and other forms as needed for the purchasing team and other supported departments.
- Track and expedite orders and requests as needed, keeping all internal and external customers informed of any material delays or conflicts.
- Clearly communicate appropriate details with all impacted groups and coordinate follow-up plans.
- Provide administrative support for purchasing department including the processing of options, correspondence, data entry, preparation and/or maintenance of miscellaneous reports, bids, and trade partner/vendor files.
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments to address/facilitate issues as they arise.
- Effectively communicate with trade partners and vendors via phone and email.
- Research invoice, purchase order, and change order discrepancies.
- Be responsible for high volumes of data entry.
- Assist with various purchasing duties
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- One (1) year in field operations, purchasing, and/or construction management experience working in homebuilding preferred
- Prior working knowledge of BRIX, preferred but not required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Construction knowledge is preferred but not required
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to a daily work schedule as required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
