Property Manager
The Property Manager is responsible for managing a residential portfolio of co-ops and condos, and for upholding the company's reputation for superior level of client service.
Specifically, accountable for:
- Hands-on management of residential portfolio of co-op’s and condos; Communicate with board of directors/managers, residents, attorneys, architects/engineers and building staff members.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations promulgated by the various NYC governmental authorities; Handle the removal of violations and attend administrative hearings as needed.
- Supervise, hire, train and terminate building staff; attend 32BJ labor hearings and arbitrations.
- Oversee/Supervise capital projects and building-wide repairs.
- Work with Purchasing to procure goods and services the portfolio; monitor purchases and contracts; sign off on invoices.
- Attend monthly board meetings.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience managing co-ops and condos in NY
- Required knowledge budgeting, staff management and building maintenance.
- Working knowledge of building systems and construction, NY housing laws/codes, union contracts, and applicable laws.
- Must have good organizational skills; Effective communication skills, both written and oral, are a must. Strong presentation skills.
- Competence with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Excellent client-service/customer service skills; Must also have excellent interpersonal skills.
- A confident problem-solver that gets things done. Must be pro-active with a “go getter” attitude.
- Calm under pressure and able to manage multiple demands from a number of clients at the same time.
- A solid team player who works well with colleagues.
- Highly motivated and looking for opportunities for growth.
Salary : $85,000
