Job Overview
Boston Steel Division of Tremcar, seeking a customer service & sales representative, primarily to fulfill parts orders and provide exceptional customer service to our customers in a prompt and professional manner, delivering to them the right part the first time.
Duties
- Handle incoming parts requests for retail customers.
- Creating Sales Orders on incoming and/or outgoing shipments.
- Research orders and accurately update information in computer systems.
- Assist in relieving parts from secured parts room and/or warehouse for production.
- Responsible for incoming calls and emails from our customers.
- Responsible for providing product comparison and pricing rates when requested.
- Accurately prices parts and accessories using the proper pricing source and keeps the computer system up to date.
- Responds to customer phone inquiries in a prompt, courteous and concise manner.
- Resolves customer questions, complaints and requests.
- Understand and communicate route and demand delivery times to the customers.
- Entry of new stock in and out of computerized maintenance system (Genius training provided by Tremcar.)
- Ensures that incoming inventory is stocked in the correct location.
- Process exchanges and returns for credits in a friendly manner, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Forklift operation may be required (Training provided by Tremcar.)
- Microsoft Office knowledge (Outlook, Excel, Word.)
- Scanning System (Genius) a plus.
- Perform housekeeping daily.
- Assist in any other duties based on parts department or production needs.
Qualifications
- 1 year experience sales in Automotive/truck parts.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and an ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Stock parts room and/or warehouse of incoming parts to designated area (must be able to lift 50lbs.)
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain high standards of customer service.
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Team oriented, Self-Motivated, highly Driven and a positive attitude.
