Job Overview:
Triplett Machine Inc., a premier provider of precision machining services, is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Customer Service / Customer Resource Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for managing customer relationships, handling sales and quotations, maintaining open order reports, and actively participating in shop floor daily meetings to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a commitment to quality, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, managing all aspects of customer relationships from initial inquiries through to order fulfillment and post-sales support.
- Develop and prepare quotations and proposals for customers, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Monitor and manage customer open order reports, providing regular updates to customers on order status, delivery schedules, and any potential delays or issues.
- Participate in daily shop floor meetings to align production schedules with customer requirements, identify potential bottlenecks, and proactively resolve any issues impacting delivery performance.
- Collaborate with the production, engineering, and quality control teams to ensure customer specifications and expectations are met.
- Track and report on key performance metrics, including customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, and order accuracy.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improving customer satisfaction and building long-term relationships.
- Assist in the development and execution of sales strategies to meet or exceed company sales targets.
- Address customer concerns and complaints promptly, working with internal teams to resolve issues and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Maintain accurate customer records, order history, and communications in the company’s ERP/MRP system.
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer service and order fulfillment processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service, account management, or sales in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/MRP software.
- Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with quoting and sales in a machining or manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, including AS9100 or ISO standards.
- Proven track record of maintaining high customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.
