**Experience:• 24 months of Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience is required.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Cerner is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a District of Columbia license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.
Holiday: Clinical Candidates must work the entire shift of the night before the holiday for the Holiday rate to go into effect; that is, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM or 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Shift: 3 or 4 x12 D/N 0700-1930/1900-0730
No Call Requirements
Every other weekend - required
Holiday coverage - as needed
Float Requirement: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity
2 years of experience in SICU, Teaching Hospital
First time traveler will be screened
Preferred experience with pulmonary artery lines, IV starts, and Phlebotomy
Neuro ICU certification preferred
Dress Code: Scrubs - Ceil Blue color; not provided
RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review.
No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment.
Return Staff Policy If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.
