What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction position at Tumeq LLC?
Suulutaaq, Inc. is a General Heavy Civil Contractor, currently looking to hire a Project Manager for our Springfield, Oregon construction operations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Successful execution of assigned projects, including schedule, scope, budget and safety considerations under the policies and procedures of Suulutaaq.
- Interfacing with the client, subcontractors, Suulutaaq field staff and Suulutaaq administrative staff to assure goals are achieved.
- Administering client and corporate specific programs, such as CQC, Safety, Environmental Stewardship, etc.
- Conducting pre-construction, progress and other project and staff meetings.
- Conducting field briefings with Suulutaaq, subcontractors and client staff.
- Managing the punch list and project closeout process to assure timely completion.
- Maintaining and/or approving paperwork such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates and E-mail correspondence.
- Providing timely and cordial interaction with supporting work groups, such as contracts, accounting, HR, etc.
- Preparing and filing contract deliverables, invoice approval, subcontractor invoice approval and project closeout.
- Other responsibilities assigned by the General Manager or the President.
- Work will take place both in the field and office.
- Track cost of field operations using data from project control budget.
- Create and maintain project schedule.
- May work on one or more projects simultaneously.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Construction Management Degree, Civil Engineering Degree or minimum of 10 years in civil construction as a Project Manager; Preferred.
- PC literate in Microsoft Office applications with a proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Primavera P6 scheduling software experience; Preferred.
- Candidates must be able to pass a drug test as part of the selection process.
- Candidate must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
- Must have a clean driving record for the past 3 years
- Must be able to walk through rough construction sites and lift 70 pounds from the ground
A Plus:
- HCSS Heavybid, Heavjob and Equipment 360
- Trimble Business Center HCE, Siteworks and Earthworks or comparable GPS technology.
- Bluebeam Software
- Recent experience on a Federal or State construction project
- Experience with Stormwater SWPPP/ BMP’s, QSD/QSP certification.
- USACE QCM certification and EM-385-1-1 experience
