What are the responsibilities and job description for the Department Head/Faculty position at tuskegee?
Candidates for the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department must have earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline, have academic experience in teaching, research, mentoring and successfully graduating students at undergraduate and graduate levels, and a record of research excellence in the broad areas engineering. Strong experience with ABET accreditation is also required. Applicants must also be eligible for the rank of tenured full professor. Research excellence should be demonstrated through a combination of scholarly publications, extramural funding, and recognition through professional activities. The successful applicant will be expected to provide strong leadership and a vision for continuing to develop a prominent department, including an expansion of the department's interdisciplinary research activities, and growth in student enrollments.
