We are looking for a dynamic person to become a valued member of our human resources team. This entry level position will provide the opportunity for the right person to gain valuable experience with various aspects of human resources with room for growth within the department and organization.
General Purpose of the Human Resource Assistant Position: Assist the department with various responsibilities, including recruitment and onboarding; HRIS maintenance; provide administrative support as needed.
- Assist Recruiter in recruitment activities for Residential program, including initial screening, interviewing, follow up with hiring managers, making offers, new hire paperwork including offer letters and credential reviews; attend job fairs and open interviews
- Assist Coordinator with onboarding of new hires, including ensuring background checks are conducted as required, follow up as needed through the pre-employment process and schedule for orientation and updating the HRIS system
- assist with employee inquiries with regards to employee policies
- provide clerical and administrative support, maintain personnel records, assist with special projects
- maintain confidentiality of all employment candidates and personnel records
Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or related field strongly preferred; Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy. Ability to remain calm, tactful, and persuasive in a variety of situations.
