The Human Resources Assistant will provide a wide range of supportive activities inside our HR department such as assisting with day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. Providing clerical and administrative support to Human Resources Executives, Compiling, and updating employee records (hard and soft copies). An important part of your role will be to act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
- Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives
- Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc)
- Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc)
- Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
- Communicate with public services when necessary
- Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures
- Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews
- Handle recruiting to source candidates and updating our database
- Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
- Maintain digital and electronic records of employees.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
- Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
- Complete termination paperwork
- Facilitate new hire orientations, including language-specific onboarding materials.
- Assist with paperwork completion, I-9 verification, and exit interviews.
- Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
- Complete Translations of HR Documents and Trainings
- Assist employees with benefits inquiries and enrollment, explaining options in both languages.
- Collaborate with benefits providers to resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Highschool Diploma
- Associate degree preferred
- 1 year of experience as an assistant (essential).
- 6 Months to 1 Year HR Experience required
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (verbal and written) is mandatory.
- Exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations.
- Effective HR administration and people management skills.
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
- Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately follow instructions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 per year
