What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Lead, Benefits position at United Wholesale Mortgage?

 

The Benefits Team Leader will be working with the Benefits Specialists to provide leadership and direction. This will include jumping into the weeds when necessary and ensuring that our company and Team Member Services vision is carried out daily.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Hiring, training, coaching and leading a team of specialists in all facets of their roles, with the ability to motivate to achieve goals
  • Must have a strong understanding of all UWM Leave of Absence policies
  • Leading the Leave of Absence Specialists with daily interactions 
  • Quarterly audits of FMLA files 
  • Reviewing FMLA/Leave Cases with team including review of letters including leave exhaustion
  • Manage the entire process flow for Leaves
  • Training and guiding specialists throughout their daily routine
  • Overseeing the Specialists working on ADA Accommodations and any other medical situations
  • Leading all facets of 401k
  • Comfortable being the Point of Contact between team members, leaders, brokers, vendors, and insurance companies
  • Cross training the team to assist each other
  • Ensuring we are properly staffed to handle volume
  • Monitoring each Team Members workload and forecasting hiring needs accordingly
  • Participate in leadership meetings by bringing creative ideas and examples to the table
  • Maintaining a high level of confidentiality on all related medical and financial benefit issues
  • Making recommendations on potential new benefits for Open Enrollment

  • Experience with benefits including: Medical, Dental, and Vision
