Position Overview
The Library Student Assistant works with the Kansas Geological Survey’s Library Manager to assist in the retrieval and scanning of KGS publications as well as enter data into a database and/or Excel.
Job Description
80% Search, organize, sort, and scan publications; check collections against descriptive listings for accuracy; and create accurate collection listings.
15% Clean up scans using Adobe.
5% Other duties assigned as needed.

Required Qualifications
KU student, meeting the minimum 6-hour enrollment requirement during the academic year for employment.
Experience with Adobe.
Experience with Adobe.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with HathiTrust.
Coursework in geology or related field.
Experience with combining PDFs.
Experience working with scanners.
