We are currently seeking a Patient Representative who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment to support our mission of delivering excellent, compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service to patients in person and over the phone regarding their medical and dental accounts.
- Review patient accounts, explain balances, and establish payment plans as needed.
- Refer patients to case management or eligibility technicians for additional financial support options.
- Maintain accurate and current patient account information in the system.
- Compile and route patient complaints to appropriate supervisors for follow-up.
- Process and post daily clinic cashier payments and apply unapplied payments.
- Enter and reconcile transmittals and insurance credit card payments.
- Post administrative insurance payments from deposits and balance accounts.
- Process patient refunds and follow up on AR reports to make collection calls when necessary.
- Conduct daily review of:
- CICP reports to ensure accurate adjustments
- Statement reports and returned mail
- System tasks and follow-ups from insurance billers
- Patient billing and contact information updates
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: High School diploma or GED required
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in third-party billing, Medicare/Medicaid, or related services preferred
Skills & Knowledge:
- Intermediate computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and Colorado collection laws
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and compassion in patient interactions
