The Opportunity

Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Command Center Operator. In this role, you will primarily receive emergency and non-emergency telephone calls, access video surveillance and access control systems, and coordinate responses to security and safety incidents. They will provide timely and accurate information and reporting to staff through data available in sensitive databases. Additionally, they will generate incident reports for security, EHS, human resources, ethics, and compliance for investigative purposes, and they will act as a liaison between supervision/management and security personnel.

How You'll Make a Difference

• Monitor the system for alarm signals and respond to alarms using the information provided in instruction screens.               
• Place necessary outgoing calls to verify an alarm, dispatch the proper authorities, and notify responsible parties.
• Serve as the first contact for human resources, assisting with basic requests for payroll, benefits, and recruiting questions.
• Accept reports of product spills, injuries, security incidents, and various other emergency-related incidents, closely following set procedures and protocols to facilitate first-responder action.
• Receive and document highly confidential employee hotline issues.
• Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion. 

What You'll Need to Succeed

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year in a technical or customer support role
• Minimum of six months of Microsoft Office and data entry experience
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain self-control during emergency situations, inquiries, and complaints
• Ability to prioritize multiple demands for immediate action
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Must have the ability to work shift work, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and midnight shifts, as well as periodic required overtime hours
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
