This position is responsible for processing damage claims for finished vehicles for an automotive manufacturer, based in Georgetown, KY and directly reports to the Claims Supervisor. This position is part of a turnkey operation which includes various types of services relating to damage claims, warranty claims and major damage vehicles. This position is expected to provide a high standard of customer service and encompass all aspects of the claims process.
Position Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to the following:
- Adjudicate dealer claims timely and accurately to liable party
- Interface with auction houses, manufacturer representatives and transportation partners to resolve outstanding issues
- Monitor and meet accounts receivable targets per manufacturer guidelines
- Monitor and improve receipt of EDI transmissions with transportation partners
- Train transportation partners and manufacturer personnel on Vascor Claim Management System (VCMS)
- Use manufacturer systems where needed for internal processes
- Coordinate and monitor process related to major damage vehicles
- Provide ad-hoc and predefined reports for internal and external customers
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Experience:
Education
- High School Diploma required; Associates Degree preferred.
Training
- Understanding of the automotive supply chain and transportation and warranty claims process, as it relates to the manufacturer.
Skills:
- Proficiency with Windows based Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Basic mainframe skills
- Ability to thoroughly investigate, analyze and make decisions based on evidence
- Ability to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while resolving problems
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work in a team environment
Experience:
- Automotive experience preferred with an understanding of the process involved in resolving damage claims.
