Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm

Location: TSMC AZ – 5088 W Innovation Circle, Phoenix, AZ

VERDE’S SAFETY COORDINATOR 

As Verde’s Safety Coordinator, you will support our mission of delivering cleaner workplaces and a greener world. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of safety procedures for our team members.

WHAT YOU’D DO AT VERDE

- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.

- Lead safety training sessions for employees and ensure that all staff are properly trained in safety protocols.

- Investigate workplace accidents or near-misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.

- Monitor and track safety-related metrics and prepare detailed reports for management.

- Maintain up-to-date records of safety certifications, training sessions, and compliance documents.

- Ensure the proper use of safety equipment and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) across the workplace.

- Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

- Provide support for the implementation of emergency response plans and drills.

- Stay current on safety regulations, best practices, and industry standards to proactively suggest improvements.

Qualifications 

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) – Proficient in both languages, able to communicate safety information effectively to a diverse workforce.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in a safety coordinator or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and experience with safety management software is a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop safety protocols.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification (General Industry or Construction)
• First Aid/CPR Certification

COMPENSATION 

$17.00 per hour. After 90-days of employment, the candidate will be eligible company benefit such as PTO, Sick Time, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), 401k, etc.
