What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Finance, Compensation position at VIANT?
WHAT YOU’LL DO
This role is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at a leading and growing advertising technology company operating in a fast-paced industry. This role would serve as a subject matter expert for companywide headcount reporting and analysis. This includes company census reporting and headcount movement analytics. This in-office position will report directly to the SVP, Corporate Finance.
\n- Maintain the company wide census for accurate reporting to Viant's leadership team
- Serve as the gatekeeper for all headcount movement including review of all new hires, terminations, and position management
- Supervise HRIS system (ADP); approve changes in coordination with HR counterparts; surfacing variance/issues when applicable
- Evolve the process for updating the census by driving automation and finding new efficiencies
- Design, lead and manage all official systems reports that support the company census
- Serve as key member of a cross-functional compensation committee in the annual creation of the incentive compensation plans and quota assignment
- Understand and contribute to the evolution and design of company commission plans to maximize the alignment of commission-based performance with internal expectations
- Provide regular analysis, reporting, and commentary regarding commission variance
- Partner with Human Resources team on the offer/acceptance/onboarding process for accurate census reporting and system updates
- Develop and document audit procedures related to companywide census reporting
- Partner with accounting on all headcount related reporting in support of internal and external requirements
- Perform ad hoc reporting as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
- 6-8 Years Finance experience, preferably in a compensation role with public company experience
- Demonstrated attention to detail, professional attitude, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong excel skills with a keen attention to detail
- Proven experience creating and maintaining efficient data structure
- Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, or related area of study
- 2 years experience in successful business partnership; experience interacting with and presenting to senior leadership
- Experience with ADP, Lever, and BI tools (e.gs.: Tableau, PowerBI) a plus

- This is an in-office position Monday-Friday in our Irvine, CA Office
- Base compensation range: $135,000 - $180,000
- In accordance with California law, the range provided is Viant’s reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. Final title and compensation for the position will be based on several factors including work experience and education.
