The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for driving talent acquisition for the assigned positions/business service line to optimize and ensure a pipeline of talent to meet the growing and changing needs of the organization and its patients. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will help guide hiring managers and candidates through the talent selection process, performing full lifecycle recruiting while maintaining excellent relationships with hiring managers and candidates. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a member of the VNAHG talent acquisition team and will participate under leadership from the Director of Talent Acquisition and the CHRO in the transformation of the VNAHG talent acquisition strategy, policy and processes to better serve the business, build a solid foundation for growth and achieve our strategic goal of “Recruit and Retain to Win".

Responsibilities:
Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers- Develops and executes progressive, full life-cycle integrated recruitment solutions using direct sourcing, industry networking, employee referrals, internet sourcing, job fairs, career programs, social media and other innovative techniques identified in our strategic recruiting plan.
- Manage the candidate experience and guide through the offer and on-boarding process inclusive of collecting new hire paperwork including credentials, running background checks, monitoring medical clearances, and distributing start information to Hiring Managers and Learning & Development team for Orientation.
- Improve quality of hire with various techniques including but not limited to; interviewing skills, Culture Index Survey, etc…
- Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with hiring managers, other human resource staff, senior leadership, and external vendors to ensure that recruiting practice meet the organizations workforce needs. May participate in workforce planning activities.
- Manages and documents candidate activity in applicant tracking system
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state laws and regulations including but not limited to EEO / Affirmative Action compliance
- Builds relationships with colleges, vocational / technical schools, veterans organizations and other feeder organizations of talent. May attend events to recruit potential candidates.
- Prepares reports documenting recruitment metrics, activity and effectiveness.
- Participates in creating recruiting strategies and an “employment brand” / marketing profiles to communicate our value proposition as employer of choice for assigned positions and/or areas. May place advertisements in print, electronic, and minority publications within recruiting budget.
- Perform research and outreach for passive candidates to ensure the talent pipeline remains full
- Provide an efficient and high-touch experience for every candidate from application stage to offer, evaluating skill level, driving the interview process and offer process, including, salary recommendations and closing of candidates. Be creative and offer options on sourcing techniques, including investigating new technologies and practices for reaching top talent. Be available to candidates’ flexible hours to meet their needs.

Qualifications:
Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors required; Business, HR or related field; experience may be accepted as substitute.
- 3-5 years of experience in Talent Acquisition with Full-Cycle Recruiting and Social Media presence
- Ability to identify top talent, understand the business and the roles and influence, coach and counsel Hiring Managers through the assessment and selection process to acquire top talent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interview skills
- Self-started with ability to work on own initiative and drive results
