Job Title: Regional Performance and Excellence Manager – Northeast Region
Mahwah, NJ
Job Summary:
The Regional Performance and Excellence Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the Dealer improvement process. The RPEM is expected to regularly monitor dealership performance and provide recommendations to retailer and regional leadership based on analysis. The RPEM works closely with the Regional team to closely monitor and mitigate risk with the goal of improving dealership sales, aftersales, profit, and customer experience. While is position is based out of Mahwah, NJ, it supports our New England North and South markets (ME, MA, NH, RI, VT, NY and CT) - travel is required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work in close cooperation with your assigned market teams and advise on process improvement with dealership operations, training, customer experience, marketing, sales, and aftersales. This includes but not limited to: customer demand generation, lead management processes, digital marketing, product training, customer experience improvements, training requirements and dealer level marketing co-op and compliance.
- Develop trusting relationships and with our retailers to support their operations and align with Volvo's corporate priorities.
- Drive improvements in our retail partners' operations and customer experience both digitally and in-store working with our New Car, Pre-Owned, Aftersales, Network and Marketing business units. This includes but not limited to: customer demand generation, lead management processes, product training, customer experience improvements and building brand loyalty.
- Collaborate and develop retailer road maps with market and regional team to measure performance and identify and share best practices and innovative ways to move the retail and service business forward.
- Drive customer service improvements by identify areas of strengths and opportunities with retailer processes and implementing solutions from National Customer Experience (CX) team.
- Ensure our retailer leadership and personnel are knowledgeable about the brand and product portfolio to be ambassadors for Volvo.
- Support the Northeast Region team with various tasks including vehicle/carpool management, event planning and event implementation.

Key Competencies/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum 5 years automotive industry experience required, with a minimum of 3 years automotive retail or service experience strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years Regional Automotive OEM experience a plus.
- Strong listening, influencing and negotiating skills.
- Clear ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and timelines with a proactive approach to find solutions.
- Strong leadership abilities (coaching, teaching and developing others) demonstrated success.
- Ability to work independently and within a team. Ability to interact cross-functionally.
- Strong computer/Microsoft skills, ability to prepare information on their own.
- Experience with adult training avenues, face to face, web, tablet, etc.
- Broad knowledge of Project Management preferred.
