Overview:
The Production Manager is responsible for the day-to-day scheduling and management of orders and projects for various Studio accounts. The Production Manager is focused on fulfilling Mastering orders with the highest quality while meeting client deadlines. Typical duties include collaborating with project team members to understand scope of projects and orders, coordinating resources, working with the Operations team to complete orders, reviewing internal rejections, flagging issues to client services teams, and establishing most efficient workflows. This role an understanding of client services expectations as well as technical operations knowledge to be able to support a team of production operators.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Coordination and scheduling for Operations team (editing, Qc, Audio)
- Track projects utilizing business systems or other methods.
- Communicate client requests and expectations to operators.
- Identify areas of improvement and work with upper management to deploy changes
- Planning for high volume periods or large projects
- Coordinate with other departments as required (client services, IT, Engineering etc.)
- Research rejections and provide corrective action details
- Maintain a strong and successful relationship with client services, managing expectations and providing excellent customer service
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years post-production experience
- Familiarity with media formats and emerging media technology
- Familiarity with basic audio/video concepts, such as various file formats, standards, resolutions, frame rates, etc.
- Familiarity with video mastering and localization processes
- Project management skills
- Xytech/Media Pulse experience a plus
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities
- Ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance
- Ability to work in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities while staying a team player
- Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-directed and self-motivated
- Computer-literate (Windows/Mac, Excel, Word, web browser)
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage heavy workload
- Ability to multitask
- Highly responsible, self-motivated, and able to thrive in an energetic, fast pace, high growth, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong team player who can build strong relationships at all levels of the organization
