Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is hiring a GIS Specialist I for our Jackson, MS office to provide essential support to various disciplines within our engineering firm, leveraging a strong foundation in GIS principles, technologies, and the ArcGIS software suite. This role focuses on spatial analysis, data management, and cartographic production to support engineering, planning, and environmental projects.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation, maintenance, and analysis of spatial datasets using ArcGIS software.
- Conduct spatial analysis to support engineering projects, including site suitability analysis, network analysis, and spatial modeling.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand GIS requirements and deliver customized solutions.
- Manage and maintain GIS data repositories, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and optimized performance.
- Produce high-quality cartographic products for reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
- Provide technical support and training to colleagues on ArcGIS software, GIS tools, and workflows.
- Stay current with ArcGIS advancements and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and workflows.
- Assist in implementing and administering ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise environments.
- Integrate GIS with other engineering software and systems to streamline data and processes.
- Administer and manage AGOL and Portal for ArcGIS, including user roles, security settings, and content management.
- Manage Esri Enterprise Geodatabase, focusing on performance tuning, spatial indexing, and query optimization.
- Design and implement geodatabases, including feature classes, tables, domains, and multi-user versioning workflows.
- Apply data replication to synchronize databases across environments, maintaining data consistency.
- Administer AGOL and Portal, configuring user roles, groups, and data-sharing settings.
- Create and manage web maps and applications using AGOL and Portal for collaborative project visualization.
- Facilitate public and private data-sharing for project collaboration and user engagement.
- Develop interactive web applications using ArcGIS Experience Builder, integrating maps, data, and widgets.
- Create and manage forms using Survey123, with customization in XLSForms for tailored data collection.
- Build and customize ArcGIS Dashboards to visualize key project metrics and real-time data.
- Design engaging multimedia-rich narratives with ArcGIS StoryMaps to showcase spatial insights.
- Integrate Power Automate with ArcGIS applications to automate workflows, notifications, and data processing.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Understanding of GIS principles, spatial analysis, and cartographic techniques.
- Knowledge of geodatabase administration, relational databases (e.g., SQL Server), and multi-user workflows.
- Familiarity with engineering fields (e.g., civil or environmental engineering) is advantageous.
- Experience in scripting with Python or ArcGIS API for Python is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and in team settings.
