Department: Tax Assessment
Reports to: Chief Assessor
Wage: $15.47 per hour (Non-Exempt)
Status: Full-time (40 hours per week) with benefits, Union
Qualifications: Minimum high school graduate with business practice emphasis
Multi-tasking is a must
Must have proficient math skills
Proficient with Outlook, Word, and Excel
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be able to work independently and be team oriented
Experience: Minimum 4 years office/clerical, accounting experience. Deed interpretation, real estate and/or building construction knowledge beneficial.
Responsibilities: Must perform various administrative responsibilities which contribute to the efficiency of the Assessment Office and provide a high level of service to the public. These duties include, but are not limited to, maintaining records, filing, composing, and typing various correspondence, collecting fees, and maintaining accounts, coordinating, and issuing notifications, verifying, and transferring deeds, greeting visitors, and answering the phone.
